What
can I expect at my first massage session?
First, you will discover my top-of-the-line massage table,
which has a state-of-the-art face cradle made of Tempur-Pedic®
memory foam, comfortable arm rests, a thick plush table pad with
heating option, a bolster for support of your knees and ankles,
and a deluxe cotton sheet set. If oil is to be used, I offer organic
Gladiator Massage Oil or water-based lotion for your body,
and organic Eucalyptus and Lavendar oils for your feet.
We will have a conversation about your
history of injuries or operations, allergies, past massage experience,
and your current physical complaints of pain or other concerns.
I will explain the protocol for your session, including the type
of massage and techniques I will use, and we will establish a
goal for your massage session.
Then I will turn on calming music played
on surround-sound speakers and excuse myself to wash my hands
while you get on the table (or floor, if doing barefoot compression
therapy) and I will return to begin your session. An area will
be provided for you to keep your personal belongings safe.
During
your massage treatment, I will occasionally ask for feedback about
the pressure of my strokes and your level of comfort.
After your massage, I will excuse
myself to wash my hands while you gather your personal belongings.
Finally, we will have a brief conversation
about your experience and I will remind you to drink plenty of
water over the following 12 hours. If you like, we can book your
next massage session.
Do
I need to remove my clothing?
No. Barefoot Compression Therapy, Tui Na, and Reflexology
do not require removal of any clothing. Swedish Massage and Trigger
Point Therapy utilize ethical draping methods to ensure only the
part of the body being massaged is exposed. Only Hawaiian Lomi
Lomi calls for most of the body to be exposed at once. It is completely
up to you if you wish to be covered or not.
Do
you offer massage gift certificates?
Yes. Please call Jeff at (203)524-4779 to arrange for payment
(cash, check, or credit cards accepted) and free delivery of gift
certificates for massage therapy sessions. You can also purchase
a gift eCard online. Click

Where
is the massage performed and parking?
I can come to your performance venue, event, wellness fair,
private home, hotel, dressing room, or office anywhere within
the Santa Barbara and Ventura area (+$50 outcall fee. If
multiple massages are performed at the same location, the total
outcall fee is still only $50), or we can meet at my private
Montecito massage studio located at 1211 Coast Village Road,
Suite 1, Santa Barbara, CA 93108.

to my building OR you can park behind my building at 1211/1213
Coast Village Circle, then walk up through my complex to Suite

What
is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so at least
24 hours before to allow another client to book in your scheduled
time slot. If you do not cancel your scheduled massage before
24 hours of your appointment, you may be held responsible for
payment. However, if you are feeling ill on the day of your appointment,
you can cancel with no penalty.
How
do I know which massage therapy is right for me?
I try to incorporate all my modalities into each of your
massage sessions. Before your massage, we can discuss your goal
for the session. Simple stress relief and relaxation are obtained
through Swedish Massage, while acute or chronic pain may need
to be addressed with Deep Tissue Massage modalities. Often a combination
of techniques from different modalities is appropriate. My ultimate
goal is always to help you feel better, both mentally and physically.
Are
you insured?
Yes. A comprehensive liability and malpractice insurance policy
is provided by the leading national massage therapist insurer
MMIP.
What
forms of payment do you accept?
Payment can be made with cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover,
American Express, Apple Pay or Android Pay.
Do
you accept insurance?
Health Insurance is not accepted at this time.
When
I make an appointment using the BookNow! button, do I need
to pay when I make the reservation?
No. Simply choose your desired type of massage when you make
your reservation online, and then pay at the time of your treatment.
